File: JGA - Assignment of New Students to Classes and Grade Levels File: JGA - Assignment of New Students to Classes and Grade LevelsNew students entering from public schools and private schools accredited by the Colorado Department of Education shall be placed in grades and classes on the basis of their grade placement/credits in the school from which they are transferring. The district shall accept the transcripts from a homebased educational program.
The district administration, through academic achievement tests and other evaluation measures as found necessary, shall determine the appropriate grade level/credit status of students transferring from home schools or private schools that have not been accredited by the Colorado Department of Education.
