A. All Offenses
1. A student, who is in possession of an unauthorized electronic communication device, pager, beeper, laser pointer, portable cellular phone or similar portable communication device, first offense will result in confiscation of item and 1 day of ISS.. A second offense will result in a 5 day OSS and third offense will be recommendation to the Board for expulsion. In all offenses the principal or designee will immediately notify the parents/guardian of the offense and suspension. All such devices will be confiscated and kept in school safe till end of year when they will be given back to the parents/guardian. The principal or designee will inform the superintendent of these actions.
B. Authorization to Carry Portable Communication Devices.
1. All electronic communication devices, beepers, portable cellular phones, and similar portable communications devices are unauthorized except as follows. The principal may authorize the carrying of a portable communications device for medical reasons or showing of good cause. Any authorization must be in writing, shall state the grounds for the authorization, and may specify conditions, including hours of allowed use. The authorization will be on file in the principal´s office.
C. Student Handbooks
1. The student handbook will include a summary of policy and regulations.
