File:  JLA - Student Insurance Programs

A student accident insurance program providing broad coverage at a nominal cost to parents shall be made available to all students.  Such protection when purchased by the parent shall cover the student while at school, on the way to and from school and when engaged in school-sponsored activities either on school grounds or elsewhere, subject to policy limits.  Through this plan, additional insurance coverage may be purchased which will cover students participating in interscholastic athletics, subject to policy limits.

Before any student will be permitted to participate in any school sports activities, this insurance must be purchased or a waiver must be presented that absolves the school district of any liability for accidents.
