File: JGA - Assignment of New Students to Classes and Grade Levels File: JGA - Assignment of New Students to Classes and Grade LevelsNew students transferring into this district shall present records of attendance, grade placement and academic achievement.
New students entering from public schools and accredited private schools shall be placed in grades and classes on the basis of their grade placement/credits in the school from which they are transferring. The receiving school shall request a complete record from the student´s former school.
Academic achievement tests and other evaluation measures as found necessary by district administrators may be required for appropriate grade placement and awarding of credit when a student enrolls from home instruction, from a non-accredited private school or from out of the country in accordance with the accompanying regulation.
