File: IGDA - Extra-Curricular Activities File: IGDA - Extra-Curricular ActivitiesA. Time: All extra-curricular activities will take place before or after school unless authorized by administration.
B. Teacher Responsibility: All school related school activities are subject to the approval of administration.
C. Teacher Admittance: Teachers are admitted free to all school activities except those that are fund raisers.
D. Participation in Extra Curricular Activities: For a student to participate in Extra Curricular Activities, he/she must attend at least 50% of the school day, on the day the activity is scheduled. Non-school day participation is determined by the previous school day's attendance. A student who is absent for an entire day on Thursday may not participate in weekend activities unless he or she attends Friday school. Prearranged absences may grant exception if turned in more than 24 hours prior to the absence. Extreme circumstances will be handled by administration.
E. Sunday Meetings: No school activities shall be held on Sundays, except in cases that are unavoidable. In such cases, special permission may be granted by the Superintendent or Principal.
F. Eligibility:
To be eligible for participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities the student must:
1. Be enrolled in five classes that carry not less than five total units of credit.
2. Must attend at least 50% of the school day on the day of the activity, practice, or game.
3. Those on the down list will not be eligible to take part in any co-curricular or extra-curricular activities during that week. However they may be required to attend the activity if the coach or sponsor would so require.
G. Wednesday activities:
1. There is to be no activities on Wednesday night, except in cases that are unavoidable and then special permission may be granted by the Superintendent.
