A combined total of six (6) days of Association Leave shall be available to the Co-Presidents of the Summit County Education Association or designee for the purpose of Association business.

The District will also grant up to a combined total of fifteen (15) days per academic year of "Association Leave" to be used by Association members for Association needs, including but not limited to, lobby days, training, attending to Association business, and/or Association meetings. These days will be allocated by the Association Co-Presidents and submitted to the Human Resources Department as "Association Leave." These days will be submitted with as much notice as possible and all reasonable efforts will be made to notify seven (7) days in advance with a goal of no more than six (6) leave days being taken at once.

Association Leave shall be considered for approval in the same manner as other leave requests.

The District may provide additional days for Summit County Education Association representatives to take care of business of mutual concern, such as visits to the State Legislature.

When referring to working conditions, salary or benefits, the negotiated contract, which is currently in effect, will prevail.  If an approved contract is not in place, these attached policies, regulations and/or exhibits will take their place.
